Rocky roads

This week was focused on completing my first research assessment. I learned the rules of how to properly complete one and why it’s important to not summarize to analyze an article for my benefit. I learned how to extract information that I need rather than what’s unnecessary for my assessment and I can look back at it later to reflect on my research as I go further into my ism journey. I learned about pediatric asthma through the article in which I read and found a lot of new vocabulary and new routes in which I can research in the future. I plan on studying terminology in the upcoming future as it will be a good use of my time and worthwhile to continue my role in the medical field. For the future, I now can do the assessments with more ease because I learned how to do things such as format them, annotate articles and submit multiple files into Canvas. During in-class time this week, I had a lot of difficulties with my technology which I am still trying to find a way to workaround. Especially with annotating my article, it took me a long time to find a good way to annotate which was quick and comfortable for me, but now I found a good way to do so. I hope for my next assessment I can finish it faster and more efficiently.
