This week was the mark of the first semester of ISM being over. I've been able to learn a lot of things throughout the course of this year so far and was able to reflect on my original work assessment. With my original work assessment, it was interesting to see how my project evolved and how much it taught me. I've really expanded my knowledge of pediatrics this year, and my original work was a huge part of that. This first semester did not only help me learn about pediatric pulmonology but also helped me learn skills such as research skills and public speaking, which I am very grateful to learn. I am also looking forward to being under mentorship and shadowing at a hospital once break is over as that is such a huge part of the class. One thing that my ISM class did this week was a potluck to help us get in the spirit for the holidays. This made me realize that I am not only grateful for the opportunities that ISM has given me, but also the friends which I made along the way. I look forward to next semester and to continue expanding my knowledge alongside my class. With new projects like the final product, I wonder where I will go with this and how much I will change by the end of the year.
